mic stand...

Thread Starter

sorry i had no idea where to post this, most forums have been no help and i know its mostly just headphones and such over here but with all you guys owning such expensive headphones i figure you would probably have a decent mic or two laying around and might be able to help.

im looking for a desk mountable boom arm for my AT2020 USB something such as http://www.amazon.com/RODE-Swivel-Mount-Studio-Microphone/dp/B001D7UYBO/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1396754112&sr=1-1&keywords=rode+psa1 the rode PSA1 but not at that price point, plus because i have a usb mic i do not want a built in XLR cable... anyone have any suggestions. also i would like a shock mount too if anyone has any suggestions for that as my desk picks up a crap ton of vibrations from even little stuff

I don't have a boom arm, I sort of went with the standard desktop stand that was capable of holding the shock mount.

I went with the most commonly used shock mount for this mic, http://www.amazon.com/Samson-SP01-Shockmount-Spider-Condenser/dp/B000LQLDM2.  The pop filter is sort of a preference thing I think.  I rarely notice anything with or without it.

I use the same mic~
