Official 8th Annual ChiUniFi - June 21, 2014 - Page 5

I will be at Axpona Friday and Saturday for sure; Sunday I will go if I feel there are things I didn't get to that I want to see.

I got my Geek Out 450 from LHLabs today (finally), so it will be at the meet.  This thing is REALLY good.  I need to make a new cable before I can hook it up to my Schiit Vali (also going to be at the meet), but it promises to be a sensational budget combo.  Will look forward to putting it up against whatever big rigs will be there.

Speaking of sensational rigs, any word on whether dBel84 will be coming?  Last year he had nearly the entire Cavalli lineup with him (he is also a fine fellow and would be good to have at the meet regardless of gear).

I know nothing of this geek out you speak of.  I must research.

Don will not be at the meet as he has a conflict with the date. Does anyone have Cavalli Audio amplifiers?

One of my friends just requested to be off of work that day, so he will probably be coming with me. If he brings anything it will be his DT770 (Pro 250Ohm I think?)

We have several vendors who are planning on coming so it would be great if we can get more people to attend.

Oh man.  You might have missed out on some of the audiophile deals of the century.  Prepare your ankles to get kicked... by your own heels.

What is now "Geek Out" (ultraportable) was originally called "Geek," so look out under that name too, which they needed to change when they decided to come out with the "Geek Pulse" (desktop) project.

Geek Pulse: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/geek-pulse-a-digital-audio-awesomifier-for-your-desktop#home

(And Geek Pulse part 2: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/geek-pulse-a-digital-audio-awesomifier-for-your-desktop-2#home)

And the Geek by LH Labs website covering all of them and more: http://geek.lhlabs.com/geekout/

What's that?  A full-blown Light Harmonics head-rig, for a price equal to about the sales tax on just one of their USB cables???  Plus all the fun of investing in a prototype product still in its very early stages of R&D?  And the chance to contribute to the product's design parameters and final appearance?  Make that...three chances, at all of those opportunities??? And you MISSED ALL OF THEM???

Well, thanks to our good friend FraGGler, very soon we will all get to see whether or not we really do need to kick ourselves...

I will attend and bring

OPPO PM-1

one of two DACs, depending on my mood

Schiit Gungnir Gen2 USB

I can also bring anything else listed under my profile if there are any requests.

Saturday I will wear my "Pioneer SX-1980" tee shirt and I'm pretty sure I will be the only one with one on biggrin.gif

I'm going to see if I can make this meet. Thanks FraGGleR for bringing it to my attention! I don't foresee any major roadblocks preventing me getting time off work to come visit.
