Official 8th Annual ChiUniFi - June 21, 2014 - Page 11

Oh yeah, I suppose if people want to try games, I would be more inclined to lug my PC and monitor, as my Steam catalog is over 100 games and running. If anyone has a specific request, I may have it/will consider buying it. Not going to show up with all three 7970s though, it's far too loud for anything unless you want to run 50 yards of headphone cable away from it.

Here's a link to my profile if anyone needs a look:

Look forward to coming. I can bring Shire 846s, HE_5LEs, Geek Out 450, and Mad Dogs.

I don't think anyone has ever brought a gaming rig before.  I seem to always run out of time to try everything even without that kind of distraction.  It might be pretty interesting though to see what kind of imaging headphones are able to pull off plugged into some sort of dolby or other surround processor hooked up to a game.  I would imagine my HD800s would be pretty good for that.

Hrm, I can probably dig my old Xonar out of a box and plop it in to try the surround effects -- I never use them, though.

I could bring my Recon3D should people want to test headphones with THX TruSurround. I'll have my Macbook on me and can demo a few different games.

That would be a great group of things to bring. Only the mad dogs have been to the meet before to my knowledge.

Fraggler. Could you bring your modded hd800? I'd like to try it with my crack.

Still trying to figure out how I can attend.
Would love to be there, will keep posted, thanks guys.

Will do. I have brought the HE-5LEs and my Little Dot VI to one or more previous meets. I think I also have some stock Grados and unmodded Fostex T50RPs I can bring as well. Oh, and the Cubic Zirconia Panasonic IEMs.

Might be going all-in on a pair of speakers, so could be talked into selling some of this gear other than the HE-5LEs and the 846s, which are my keepers.

anyone have a HifiMan HE-4?  I'd like to hear it.

I've never been to a meet before, but I'd like to attend.....a newbie since January, but I'll be there with my HD558s and a hearty handshake!

You'll love it. A great chance to hear so much gear that you've been curious about! And great friendly folks too.
