So, I've just received the product mentioned above, and the Coaxial/USB Inputs are not working? In order for it to produce anything, I have to use the Line-in on the front.

Maybe the DAC is malfunctioning? Did you contact TubeMagic?

Hello.

Have you tried using another PC? Usb ports? do you have the latest drivers?

I've made a ticket and sent it.

To be honest, I couldn't care less about USB, the Coaxial is what is bothering me.

Well, i suspect there is something wrong with your unit. I hope support is able to help on this and send you another unit if needed.

Good luck!

If I have to send my unit back, I don't think I will as it is more of a minor inconvenience. Using the input on the front is still producing the best thing I've ever heard.

Aaagh! I was just about to order one of these. That sounds like pretty bad QA and not a lot of testing. I would have bought the D2, but due to it's lack of 24bit/192Khz support I decided on the D1 Plus.

I may still do this. You may have just been unlucky. If I was you I would return it.

I'm pretty sure it's just user error, as I'm using Windows 8.1. Optical Input does work though, and it sounds the best from all the rest. I would actually recommend this to anyone that needs an amp/DAC at this price

Thanks for that! I agree there is not a lot around for this price, that stand out like these.

One way you could test is, if your CD player has a digital out. (either Coax or Optical)

You may find that you like this sound as well :)
