hey all! im a new member and new to headsets. im an expert autosound engineer so I know what sounds good wnd how and what t do to optimize autosound. but I am lost on headsets. I need to know what to get. I love good loud low clean hard hittin bass, smooth n clear mids and crisp clean loud highs but not harsh twangy highs. if someone could please point me in the right direction as far as what to select and if a portable amp is advise and what kind I would be extra greatful and can give you any advice on autosound you need! thank you so much n help

What is your budget? Since it sounds like these will be used in a more mobile setting, is it safe to assume you'd like them to be closed and not leak sound?

http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/innerfidelitys-wall-fame-full-size-sealed has some great options... the only reason you'd need to add a portable amp to these is if you wanted more volume and a cleaner signal... perhaps a Leckerton's UHA-6S MKII which is also on that site's wall of fame. There are plenty of options, the best advice I can give is to try to audition as many headphones as you can, be patient, and to check out the portable amp section to see if one would be right for you.
