Peter and I agree on what the "Synergy" cable brings to the table, what I said in my post....huge soundstage, air and detail, sparkle in the treble!  He has the Alpha Dog, LCD3, and PM-1!

I have triple threat type connectors with Amphenol mini xlr's, so I can connect to all of my headphones with all of my cables!

The Oppo PM-1 with the DHC "Synergy" cable has those same qualities with any of my DAC/Amp combinations!

Not the cable talk please...
I can't really take seriously anyone who's willing to spend hundreds or even thousands on cables...

You will love it on the Alpha Dogs, I sold that combo, hated to but I had problems with the Alpha Pads getting too warm......health issues!  The Alpha Dogs definitely sound like an open back with the Synergy cable!

OK, sorry if I spoiled you day....we all hear differently.  MY PM-1's can sound like different HP's though, but don't believe me!

Three after payment, I finally got a approved for fulfillment.   This may take longer than I thought.

*Thankful for impressions as someone on the fence about whats next*

little ramble about all the nonsense regarding what to compare to and what not. (Click to show)

Even though the oppos are open and someone compared the bass to the AD(closed) I found it very useful:beerchug: . I  have come to love the battle of the flagships thread that compared all kinds of drivers and ranked them over eachother without categories when a newb like me didnt know what to expect from these headphones.

Despite the differences of opinion on the treble I can atleast conclude that the oppo has detail in the treble which is pleasing to hear. I hope it is a dynamic headphone and can punch like a dynamic. I am actually reconsidering the he560 and dont know because if the 650 and crack and speedball dont get me it will be either one of these because I love deep and tight bass with clear/transparent mids. I also find the lcd2 kinda boring and want more soundstage a tiny bit and really like the idea of full clear mids like the oppo is promising.

Any attempt/effort to offer someone in the dark some light on a product is appreciated regardless of peoples lack of skills or boundaries in doing so. We make ourselves vulnerable to share our opinions and I appreciate that.

I ordered mine last week Wednesday, 2:30 PM central, paid $15 extra for FedEx two-day, FedEx picked them up two hours later, got them Friday 3:30 PM central....really glad I paid for the two-day shipping!  Been loving them since!

The battle of the flagships is an amazing thread.
I'd just rather not get cables into it... Saying that cables make drastic differences... How can a wire significantly color the sound, unless it's defective? It just carries information that's there. It can't add to or remove from.

I should have paid the extra shipping cost. I guess I'm at the bottom of the list.

I told  you not to believe me........I won't post cables differences again.  Do you listen to your headphones without cables?

i don't think cables make a drastic difference at all, even if its the placebo effect, if i perceive it to be better , then its better for me

i would never tell anyone they'll hear "this" or "that" with any piece of equipment, especially wire/cables

not my intention to get anything stirred up , lol

edit:  not drastic, i do believe subtle differences can be made

I personally heard the differences in cables and wiring on headphones. The differences are subtle but definitely there for sure.

I was skeptical myself but then, using a splitter and swapping immediately between headphones I heard differences like alo cryo copper sounding more heavy than alo cryo spc.

Once you hear a little, even negligible difference, than you will by nature want whats better to you even if it only makes a slight difference
