Best over-ear headphones under £50

Thread Starter
Hi,

First post here but I'll be concise.

Use: To cancel as much background noise in the library / good neutral sound

I'd ideally like full iPhone control as it's a faf messing on the phone.

Just got the Denon 510r but the sound quality is so-so.

I hear good things about the JVC SA400 but unfortunately there's no controls. Are there other JVC headphones of equal sound quality with full controls?

What other headphones in the sub £50 range would you recommend?

Many thanks

The best you'll find for that money are probably the Creative Aurvana Live (original version.)

Very comfortable and sound as good as headphones 2-3 times the price (in my experience) They don't have iPhone controls though (not sure you'll find anything decent-sounding that does for 50 quid ... )

With your budget, I'd go for the JVC SA-500 over the SA-400. But sorry. No controls.

I saw a JVC with controls and a mic that might be decent. Based on the name, it might even be an

HA-S500 variant: http://www.amazon.com/JVC-HASR500B-Quality-Headphones-Remote/dp/B0090UMDBA/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396507360&sr=8-1&keywords=JVC+HASR500B.

You could always get an extension cable with volume buttons and just plug the headphones into that.
