Hi Everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this thread.
I have recently sold my Westone W40s in favor of something that has the kind of bass I am looking for. I have read through these threads until my eyes bleed reading everyone's opinion on bass heavy IEMs. There are several excellent threads covering the topic, the only problem is....is actually making a decision. So many people are so passionate about their particular IEM of choice, it makes me want to buy a pair of each. Unfortunately, I do not have that kind of budget. So, after spending the time researching and reading on this topic, I have come to the conclusion that the Atrios MG7's offer the best overall bass centric performance for the money. While there was an abundance of posts praising the various bass heavy IEM's, it was the Atrios posts that seem to win out in both their passion and arguments. At least that is the impression I have been given.
To sum it up, I have compiled a list of the IEMs that the bass enthusiast seemed to favor, and there are (in no particular order:
Monster Turbine Pro Gold
UE TF10 Pro
Audio Technica ATH-CKS77
Hisoundaudio Wood Duo 2
While this is not a complete list, it does include the ones I was left most impressed by from the many discussions and posts. And of course, the ones I was most impressed with are the Atrio MG7, which are the ones I have decided on. The problem is that I do not know exactly which MG7 model to buy, since there are many (010-045, 500-010, 010-044, 010-049, 010-648, etc.).
So, I am asking for a little help. I would like to know 1) am I off base about the Atrios? and 2) which Arios MG7 should I be looking for?
I have found a pair, used I believe, for around 180.00. It is labeled 'mobile' since it has smart phone control capabilities, and employs MG7 PRO technology. The model is 500-010. Would these be what I am looking for?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all...
