Hello guys, I'm a newbie to this forum and to the hi-fi/head-fi world. I've spent quite some time online recently trying to build from scratch my first head-fi system. Lots of helpful information and many choices are out there, it's a good thing but that also makes decision-making fairly difficult. I live in a small town almost in the middle of nowhere, so sadly I pretty much have to rely completely on the information online rather than my ears...
Music I listen to: mostly classical, maybe 60% symphonic, 40% chamber/solo, some pop/rock
Taste: definitely no excessive coloration, but lifeless and boring sound is equally undesirable
Right now I'm looking at Yulong DA8 + SPL Auditor + Sennheiser HD650. How would it perform for the music I like? Any not so obvious pitfalls with this config, things like adapter must used for the connection which doesn't look like the case but just trying to make sure? In the future I probably will get some speakers, I guess DA8 will continue to perform, but probably Auditor will no longer be in that picture?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
