I brought it to work with me today and listening to it at my desk.  There's good separation and has a wide field of sound but seems more cohersive than something like the H3 or FX850.  The sound just doesn't seem as vast.  More intimate like I mentioned beforeI can only imagine with a littel more treble presence, this sound could be an absolute killer.

Agreed on all accounts. Maybe burn-in might fix the treble.

The soundstaging is also true about these ckrs. Sometimes I cannot tell whether it has greater or similar height to the h3s. Sometimes it's on par, some other songs beat the h3s. I cannot tell really.

Hmmm? The way vlenbo and DannyBai describe the bass I the CKR 9/10 makes me think of the bass in the im70. I'm listening to it now and the bass and fuller in quantity - believe it or not- than the H3 or Fx850.. The. Whole sound spectrum is quite full. I'm willing to bet those two earphone es are just more refined. Not that the Im70 is raw sounding. By the way, I have my extra Spiral Dot tips in. Does wonders for the IM 70.

I bet it's somewhat similar tuning considering these are the newer line of AT's.  We'll know soon enough when Ds gets his pair and we both have the CKR7's coming in.  I should have mine tomorrow or next day.

I am eager to hear both phones. I haven't been this excited about getting some new ATs since my Im03..Can't wait..

It might be possible to be honest. dual drivers for both except executed differently.

You'll love the whole spectrum, I just know it.

I surely love most except that the highs need improvement.

soundstage is phenomenal, doesn't quite bet the sonys, but it definitely matches it quite a bit.

The imaging is just as good, which is surprising.

One aspect of ATs newest sound I am very encouraged about is that it seems they have finally put to rest the crazy treble extension of earphones past..CKN70, CKM77 CKM99 CKM1000 all had what seems to be treble that extended a bit too much... If my IM03 is any indication of newer AT sound tuning..

It is about damn time they got it right..

I was very tempted to try out a CKR5 as well but opted for an upgraded cable for my IM03.

Someone buy the CKR5 already. It will be a new version of the CKM500. It is going to be one stellar phone. Multi colors and all.

Hopefully someone wins one.  I think the decision is made on the 20th.  They'll probably see I'm in the US so will exclude me right away, lol.

I'm especially interested in comparison ckr7, ckr9 vs Vsonic GR07.

I swear, the texture of the bass, amazing.

The smooth and detailed mids (of course ,not forgetting the mid thickness), just beautiful.

and the highs, they are fantastic enough to put the xba-h3s to shame!  After 100 hours of burn-in, the highs exposed themselves quite a bit better now, no problem hearing it except for some songs from bands like Oasis, beatles, and others.

They are handsome Danny. Always liked that plug as well.

I dare say that the ckr7s are an aesthetic improvement over the ckm77s. Hopefully an improvement on the sound sig occurs as well.

They are handsome and love that plug as well. The sound on open box didn't impress me all that much. This one does not lack treble and retains more of the AT house sound. Vocals sound good, big bass and stays punchy. I'm gonna go back in a few hours and check.
