Question about the possibility of fake Gratitudes

Were these IEMs not mainstream enough to worry about counterfeit items if bought off eBay? I ask because I bought a set off of eBay and everything I have read about these talks about the substantial weight to them, they feel light to me, not heavy at all. I am coming from Monster Nokia Puritys which are all plastic and very light, so I would think these are suppose to feel heavier atleast. Did I get fakes?

Does the ebay seller have any history of selling fake and counterfeit goods?  If so then definitely YES there is a good chance.

Where is the seller located?  Counterfeiting is less common in certain places of the world than others.

The other thing I do is I search google and youtube for things like "monster gratitude fake/counterfeit".  9/10 times if there are a lot of fakes out there, they will show up in either search.  I did this recently when shopping for a Lifeproof water submersible case for my iPhone.  I found a LOT of fakes out there, and that vital information steered me away from buying them on Amazon, I got it from an authorized retailer instead.

You probably should post macro images of them and let others who own them comment on their authenticity.
