The official launch date of Ref. 1 is in June and I believe there is already a hot queue of orders for Ref. 1 made by some of us already to Tralucent. It is best you pm spkrs01 a.k.a. Gavin for more details. He is very helpful and responsive, so I am sure he will answer whatever questions you have to the best of his knowledge.

By the time you have saved enough to get an ak240, the ak480 will be out :D

Have you considered the hugo? You can get a hugo for quite a bit cheaper than an ak240

Anyone know if the plugs are recessed? I've had quite a lot of trouble with non recessed plugs falling out of other iem's

Yes, the 'female' socket is recessed about 1/8".

With the 1Plus2 it was recessed yet it did fall out on my regularly. The Ref1 has yet to fall out. However I've been told that the angled connectors fall out more easily than straight connectors.

Yeah agreed, its physics. The angled connector has more forced pulled by the cables per surface area whereas the straight has less..

Completely off topic, but I bought 1plus2 from another member. I'll have it next week, couldn't help myself. Need something to hold me over until Ref1 is ready.

Not a bad choice indeed.. Its a great iem, one could say is of legendary status.. Its my go to iems now cos its good in covering all the music genre in my collection

That's exactly what I'm hoping for in the Ref1. 1plus2 has amazing reviews, figure it couldn't hurt. I also wanted to expand my collection, have a few more IEMS to compare.

Im actually trying to downsize my collection thats why im trying to sell off my SD-3. The SD-3 is actually better than the 1plus2 in EDM (not by much) but the 1plus2 wins in every other genres hence Im keeping my 1plus2, I listen to it like 80% of the time anyways, so best sell of the rest. Saddens me thou, cos the SD-3 is one hell of a performer.

Not familiar with SD-3...but I feel your pain. I'm buying 1p2 with the intention of selling it... I haven't even heard it and I'm trying to justify reasons for keeping it... I'm bad at letting go!!
