Brand New : Tralucent Audio Ref.1 Too & original Ref.1 - Page 179

Has anyone used the Ref 1 in conjunction with the iFi Micro iDSD?

Curious as to how the combo plays together.

Here is my factory-refurbished Uber (1st generation) with rhodium plated plug...separation is better with more authority...worth to give this a go for those who have the original uber.

There is a lot of reference to the spiral dot tips around the ref1 thread, thinking I might give them a try. I currently use the small ortofon tips that come with the ref1, does anyone know what size this would equate to in the spiral dots?

Could save me some money having to buy small, small med, med etc lol.

Thanks for any help.in advance.

Small Ortofon tips are very small. Small Spiral Dots are your best bet...no way would you need SD mediums if you like the small Orto's fit.

I will get ref 1 too soon. What can you say about this iem ? is it upgrade after ref 1 or different taste ?

The difference is subtle, however definately worth it.

I find the Ref 1 too to be a far better all round iem.

The difference to me is in the mids.  They sound more natural on the ref 1 too and imo it makes all the difference.

The only bad thing about owning/hearing the ref1too is that I am no longer satisfied with any other gear.  There always seems to be a sacrifice.

The only negative I would say about the ref1/Tralucent iems is they dont look or feel like they should for the $$ you pay.

But in saying that they are solid.  They just look hand made.

I have tried many iems and cans since getting mine.  Nothing has brought me the same feelings the ref1 and ref1too have.
