What are some decently priced sturdy 3.5mm audio cables?

I've tried so many different cables, and they always seem to break in some way.  Either at the jack or just bending the cable a certain way messes up the connection.

I want a short cable to connect my FiiO X3 to my FiiO E12 (actually my FiiO cable hasn't broke yet but I want a shorter cable or one that isn't a right angle (don't like how it has extra length)

And a longer one for my headphones with a removable cable mod.

I've bought numerous ones from where I work and I thought I found a great one it was a nice bungee like cable, however now when it bends a certain way, wham no more audio.

And it'd be a bonus if the cable looks cool.

Something like this?

It is an Oyaide HPC-MSS from Japan. Unfortunately, unless you live in Japan, it is gong to cost you US$20 from Amazon Japan and $15 for Tenso forwarding service.

FiiO is making a short IC as well, mainly for X5. You might want to wait for it:

Yeah that's a bit much for a cable especially with the shipping thrown in.  No American distributors for that product?

Not that I know of. It is kind of a limited series from Oyaide so I doubt it will get picked up from oversea distributor.

Hi!

I'm looking for something similar so I didnt start a new thread since I can also contribute here.

I'm new here and I'm also looking for a good cable but I dont want to spend too much money! I'm a newbie / beginner

I have a Fiio E6 since last summer but the cable is no longer working!

Now I just ordered a C&C BH2 and I want to upgrade the cable for something better.

Mp3 Player : Creative Zen V  (Someday I will maybe upgrade to a better mp3/mp4 player)

Headphone JBL J55

(nothing too fancy)

So I'm not sure if I will hear the difference between a 2$ cable and a 30$ cable.

I always thought that a cable work or doesnt work. Never thought about the quality on a small 3.5mm jack cable.

OCC copper with Silver plated cable(Temperature range : -65 ~ +200 ℃
4 cores Silver plated Headphone Upgrade Cable
length : 0.1m,0.3m,0.5m,1 m,1.5m
Cable Diameter : 2.5mm
jack : 3.5mm 3pole gold plated
Plug attachment is a stainless steel

Is it a quality cable? It's not too expensive.

I decided to order the Oyaide HPC-MSS. Just looked like the angles and length on it would work the best

To be frank, I haven't heard much difference between a $6 cable and a $300 cable. I mainly get the HPC-MSS because it has the right length and good design for an interconnect cable. I can easily DIY myself a short IC but it will never be quite as small.

thank you

Yeah I definitely doubt the HPC MSS is going to add quality. I dont really believe in cable hype. However I will waste my money on it so I can have a very short cable that is likely to not get in the way.

ooh that's pretty cool, doubt my soldering skills would be up to the job but a straight plug made of plastic/wood the perfect length would be the most ideal cable.

But then again I like having my X3 face up on the logo side of the FiiO E12 since the Volume control is facing the correct direction while it's laying down.

If anyone is selling those I might buy one though, if it's the perfect length from the X3 to the E12.

I might give it a try myself though, what 3.5mm are those?

I really dont know nothing about the 3.5mm jack, cable/wire and solder.

Not sure about the quality I would be able to do either! lol

Made a relatively short IC in the meantime

My bridge interconnect was done in few minutes!  Really easy with the DIY video.

I just need to work with some protection now... maybe some wood / epoxy
