Anyway a quick listen showed way less edgy high notes which the tg38s has. We'll have to give them some burn in.

Did the Aliexpress seller send you the TC100 instead of TG-JL1?

Yes, the package from the Aliexpress seller is noted as delivered today and that package contained the tc100.

I've chatted with the seller - there are about 4 more TC100 units on their way instead of TG-JL1.

Somebody bought 2 TG-JL1 - he'll be getting 2 TC100...

I have asked the seller to update the listing with the TC100 description.

Comparing them side by side the TC100 are only slightly bigger than the tg38s, however the TC100 fit in my ears is less, probably due to the cone shaped earbud. Where the 38s sit in my ear nicely the tc100 feels a less supported. Not that is a deal breaker for me, they don't fall out and fit quite secure just a little less so than the 38s. I would say their fit is on par with the mx985. However I still need to test the tc100 over a longer period in time, so I cannot say much over longer term comfort.

What's the sound like 😅

Cannot comment too much about the sound, did not do a proper burn in yet. I have to say they are good enough to listen to right out of the box. After 24 hours of burn in the 38s started to open up with more fuller low and mid. I also found the treble issues could be source related. Some recordings have it more than others. For now the burn in continuous.

Can you test the low frequencies?

http://www.audiocheck.net/soundtests_headphones.php

Dasetn's measurements show cutoff around 26Hz, TG-JL1 plays 20Hz just fine.

just curious, when testing frequencies, what is the ideal volume of the PC?

I figure another ear bud lying around can't hurt, won a diy pk3 for $7.50, I like my diy pk2. Really looking forward to my tingo tg-38s arriving too.

Bought a spare pair from one of our members, waiting on them to come in from Germany. My ideal listening experience would be an amazing ear bud, glad I'm finally starting to get to hear some that actually sound worthwhile.

Must admit I'm curious how the diy pk3 sounds, the standard one was halfway decent to listen to.
