Dasetn/Tingo/Baldoor earbuds Reviews and Impressions - Page 30

I read somewhere that Tingo made the TC00 with a bigger aluminum shell because the shell of the JL1 breaks after some usage.

Nah, the build quality of TG-JL1 is exceptional.

That's what we are gonna find out. Richard says not much size difference from the TG-38S. If so they will fit me.

Like I said, we'll see. $1.30 cheaper than the R3 Pro at this stage. So far, so good. Just trying to do a little better. Either I save a few bucks and wait or save a few days if the EMS is reasonable. I had said the same thing based on the shipping crapulator...http://www.head-fi.org/t/684159/chinese-asian-brand-info-thread-headphones-iems-amps-dacs/1965#post_10362038

Anyway, enough of that. It is more about how they are built, how they will fit and sound esp. compared to the TG-38S.

Ordered what and where? With which shipping option?

It's not uncommon for free shipping to take 6 or even more weeks. I am about to receive Ostry KC06 tomorrow 7 weeks after it was shipped.

The TC00s look really good, but they look to be of the same/similar Audio-Technica housing as the Dasetn AP8, which I found to be a bit larger and more uncomfortable than the Yuin ones that the TC1s were based on.

The 22 core LC - OFC mix weaving pro hi - end wire. With my mod pk2 version of the line is the same

Actual discussion jumpers JL1 is an early version, now is the new version (tc00) is 38 s upgrade, voice for longitudinal stereo feeling.

A little digging and I found specs saying 15.4 mm drivers. So, the 17mm housing cavity lines up with that. 17mm housing size is a bit bigger that the TG38S. The TG38S is 17mm including the cap protruding a bit more than the actual housing itself. Seems to line up that the TC00 really won't be much larger. I've been okay with slightly bigger ones like the UU2 and Hisound Live so I think I'll be alright with them. They will probably give some people trouble though.

They are supposed to come with 3 pairs of foams, a clip, and a carry pouch.

TG-38S does have better extension at both ends. The clarity and details are excellent at both.

TG-38S' bass goes lower and punches cleaner, but TG-JL1 isn't too shabby either.

TG-JL1 is very balanced, and is much less of a risk with "hot" recordings.

I think my new DX90 will pair nicely when I receive it 😋

My TG-38S finally landed here today, approximately 3 weeks after ordering on aliexpress, first impressions are good, or rather good-ish, I can only compare these to my sub 6 month old Blox M2C's and thus far I am sure that these are a lot brighter in the treble department, and they are slightly hiked up in an area of the upper bass/lower mid frequency range, leading to a boomy, slightly bloated and as of now queasy listening experience, gotta stress this is impression straight out of the box with 30 minutes of use. I am not sure that I can keep listening to these without leaving to burn in some as that bloated low frequency is kind of nauseating.

However the treble detail is sweet, vocals sound great (hip hop/rap works really well on these imo), the soundstage is more 3D than the M2C's, all told they come across well except for that spike in the lower mids/upper low end, it's too rich for my ears and gives me a bit of the gawks, maybe it's because the M2C's are very bass neutral, and all told (as of now) a smoother, darker, less robust sounding earbud.

I can't wait to let these burn in. Hopefully the low end will have sorted itself out by then. I really would love to love these buds, as opposed to just kind of fancy the prettier bits.
