Dasetn/Tingo/Baldoor earbuds Reviews and Impressions - Page 12

The Dasetn M series lived up to the hype. My T-38s are still on their way from Dasetn. The TinGos are being hyped so much, I hope they don't disappoint. All the M series sound as if they cost 2x-7x more. I'm saying 2x because the original MX760 were $45 or so.

How would the Pk3 compare with the Dasetn M series?  For example, would the PK3 or M1 be better?

PK IE8 is a basshead's IEM, not as good as Piston v2.x

Pretty good for a 20$ IEM though.

Hi just want to ask. Is the housing on tingo is steel made? Or just plastic polished into steel-likr colour? The looks kinda cool.

It's the usual MX500 housing, but with optical surface coating treatment.

Some weird logistics about my Dasetn orders. My first order didn't update any  tracking number online - it still shows the item is in the process of being delivered. . .yet it was already delivered 10 days after I ordered it. My 2nd order shows a tracking number and online it indicates it has been delivered. . .yet it has not been delivered yet. It seems like the information provided on the Dasetn website with regards to my orders is not accurate.

However, I'm getting buds that sound better than all other buds/IEMs I have bought for up to $120 for less than $20, so it's okay as long as the orders get to me in a reasonable amount of time regardless of the inaccuracy of the information provided by Dasetn.

. . .still waiting for the TG-38s, , ,

Has anybody here received their TG-38S yet? Mine is still on the plane on the way from Guangzhou.

I ordered from Aliexpress and mine JUST got here. I have yet to test them. I should have impressions in the next day or so.

Edit: I was able to try them out for just a minute or so. Sound seems to be in balance, build is decent. Very shinny and I like the cord.

Still have to test them out as far as sound quailty.

**UPDATE on my TG-38S**

Finally got some time to test it out.

Lets go over the Cons first: Mids are a little too forward for my liking. Also getting this weird "echo" with vocals and the spoken voice.

Next, the Pros: Crystal Clear and Accurate Highs, good looks and decent build quality.

I will continue to listen to them to see if they straighten themselves out over time. As of now though, not a big fan.

Still like the sound signature of my Blue Ever Blue - Black (BEB - 328R) better. (Also wish my PK3 DIY did not break, those were my favorite earbud).

If TG-38S' mids are too forward for you, take a look at Dasetn M1 and especially M760.

The "echo" is an effect of the huge soundstage, it should decrease/disappear after some brain burn-in.

P.S. You didn't mention the bass in neither pros nor cons.

Those two effects, too forward mids and echo, may be due to fit as well. Too loose letting the bass and treble escape out the sides and also allowing reflections that cause the echo. A bit of testing holding them in can confirm. Not said if pads where used which could cause the echo if a loose fit has the sound bouncing in between the ear and the plastic face instead of being absorbed by foams.
