With all this talk about baffles I almost thought that's a pun you used there lol.

Well, it could be that they ran out of ideas on how to improve without adding more weight...

Audeze's next step, single sided magnets. IT'S THE FUTURE. And for the love of god, new redesign for more comfort. Hifiman has learned, it's about time they did as well.

Gotta love those soon to be audeze magnets with single sided polarity. Lol

Just messing with ya M

It must be that you need all that weight to control the dual design?

I dont know what you mean. The HE560 uses a single sided design, why cant Audeze?
Lol it was sarcasm because it's not a single sided MAGNET. Just the way you wrote sounded funny to me.

It's OK what you put as I get. Everyone else has said that too. I just caught on to it.

That's exactly what I thought you'd think ;D
I suppose Dr. Fang is investigating now, let us know when he reaches any consensus.
I hope this won't delay anything. I mean from what you said it's more of a tiny oversight rather than a serious issue. But as long as it benefits the SQ, it's good

I just hope this won't delay anything too much... I was really hoping they'd start shipping real soon. Patience pills for me. ;P

That's...amazing. I rented an LCD 2 and I couldn't even begin to analyze the sound because of the clamp and weight, which were unbearable within 15 minutes. In the end, HE-500 was similar, but it took a few hours for them to start hurting my ears. I liked their sound, but I can see where people say they sound "cavernous". Much more forgiving than the HE-800.

Both the LCD2 and LCD-XC I've auditioned have far less clamping force than most any other headphone I've tried. I agree that their weight can create hotspots on the top of the head over time, but they're one of the more comfortable headphones on the ear side of things.

Audeze making a single-ended planar with suspension strap would be great.

Appended my first post review to flesh out my perception of the sound after these few days of listening.

I really like dynamic headphones so I am really glad for this - "Dynamics are powerful, almost too powerful for my taste (I like more laid-back sound signatures); certain orchestral or acoustic instrument solo soundtracks that start off quiet and get insanely loud in a few minutes, which is not something I'm used to from using my HE500s. I won't lie, it could also partially be a consequence of the neutrality and more energy in the presence region of the midrange. But it is definitely also a consequence of the fast transients (next point)."

I almost wish HIFIMAN just released the cans. I mean if it will take them weeks to properly implement a fix... From your impressions the difference is smaller than I thought it is.
In the other hand if it's something fixable in a few days, by all means wink.gif

Please keep up posted Jerg popcorn.gif

Thanks for the updated impressions gs1000.gif the more I read the more I an sure I'll love them.
