My bad, thanks for pointing that out. Better choice as Ebony should wear much better than Teak. I really should have noticed that the wood in the images was certainly not Teak.

What is the driver size again? Can't seem to find this in the thread (I did search the thread, but gave up after only finding info on the pad size).

Not that I can do so anytime this summer, but I would consider a new amp for these if for some reason my Asgard 2 wasn't a solid choice for th 560, but I see no reason why it shouldn't match well beyond perhaps a small impact of output impedance being over 1ohm. Any thoughts or suggestions on the Asgard 2 or amplification in general for the 560?

People have said the Asgard 2 should fare fine...  Listen to it for yourself before you put down more cash :p

Plus, the 560 is only veneer as opposed to solid wood so real maintenance should be minimal. Essentially, less is more so beyond removing oil from the veneer with a dry soft cloth you shouldn't need to do much. Perhaps a very dry climate might require a little light oil, linseed I think is good (but research it to be sure), but remember anything you put on the surface will ultimately allow dust and such fun stuff to stick to it. I would say handle the wood the least you need to, store the headphones when possible and keep an eye on the relative humidity in the room.

Thanks for the clarification :) Here in Australia it isn't too humid so I think I'll take your advice and wipe it every now and then with a clean, dry micro fibre cloth.

+1. Give it a listen before writing anything off ;) It can't hurt and thats what I am doing with my Rolls Bellari HA540 amp.

Can anyone let me know what is the status of the orders and which revision is being shipped? I can probably read few hundred pages :o . Also is it worth buying the cans right now or wait?

Thanks

There is only 1 production model, that's what's being shipped. Everything else was technically pre-production.
