The TH 900 will mean I'll likely have to move my Z7 as well. No need for two decent closed back designs.

I'm still very tempted by the LCD 3 and the Ether has me curious so one of those are likely next up, or maybe a new HFM? Anyway, I'll still check out this thread as I really like the people who frequent this thread. Have to stay loyal to my people! Are you still travelling Bill?

Apologies: misquoted.

I decided I just had to try a TH900 as I have been curious about this headphone since it was announced. I wouldn't be surprised if I buy a 560 again, but if not I am extremely glad I had a set. I may also wait and see what comes out from HFM as I assume something between the 560 and 1000 will replace the HE 6 so that might be my next headphone. I'm also very interested in the Ether.

Go for the X!

I would wait until some comparisons have been made with the new upcoming flagships (HE-1000 and Ether) before picking. The LCD-X will still be around after the new headphones come out and if you wait a bit to decide, you won't be hit by upgradits as soon hahah

You are correct. I was tunneling on Audeze offerings; yet other competitors in this price range certainly merit attention. I just was saying instead of the 3s...go X

hahaha I agree. I prefer the X over the 3, and it's available at a much better price point if you are patient.

I'll still frequent this thread of course, always a good thread with pretty cool people. I'll be back in the HFM camp again. My time with the 560 was so positive that when something between the 560 and the 1000 appears I'll be very interested for sure. I'm thinking a HFM in the $1200-1300 range would be a nice price point for some trickle down from the 1000.

@Liu Junyuan, I have thought about the X but I can never see it for a reasonable enough price. I'll keep my eyes out mind you. You had the TH900 right? I take it you find the X to be the better headphone?

I hope there will be something to fill in the gap between this and the he1000 and knowing hifiman I'm sure they have something in the works. It doesn't make sense not to.

I'm holding my next headphone purchase until some headphones are released such as that ether coming out from mrspeakers. I'm buying a v281 in the meantime smily_headphones1.gif
