I've never regretted any early preorders with HiFiMan. If anything, it's saved me money in early adopting whenever there was a preorder price discount. I'll have to admit that HiFiMan QC is somewhat lacking, but they make up for it in their sound quality and excellent customer service.
Sure it would be great to have both high quality QC and Customer Service, but usually means very high prices. If I had to pick one, I'd opt for Lesser QC with Greater Customer Service over Greater QC with Lesser Customer Service any day.
I have very bad luck when it comes to early adopting. I guess that's why I'm a good tester (especially Beta testing). So please don't ever take my bad luck experiences as being the norm. Far from it, I'm just cursed when it comes to electronic toys.
Better now than a month from now (ala HE400 release 2 years ago) when it comes to QC. I guess that's why these are called "testing units", lol.
