V-moda Crossfade M-100:s vs Crossfade LP:s?

I'm going to be getting a new pair of headphones pretty soon and I've got it narrowed down to two potential pairs. I'm going to use them primarily for music but also for a lot of gaming. My primary concern would absolutely be the quality of the sound. I have a Steelseries-set for multiplayer gaming so the mic is quite irrelevant here.

I was originally going to get Crossfade LP because of the obvious differance in price but I looked up some reviews that questioned the quality of the sound. Is there a huge difference, in that respect, between this one and the Crossfade M-100 - or is the mic the biggest change inbetween the two?

Which of them is most worth getting?

Also, (not as important) how is the durability on V-moda headphones - when spending $200+ I'd like it to last quite a while. Is the cable durable, I've had headphones in the past that have stopped working because of the cable rather than something else and I wouldn't want that to happen again.

Vmoda headphones can survive the apocalypse/ragnarok/ww3/Armageddon. You don't have to worry about the cable either.

Skip the crossfade lp and consider the cal2 or the ue6000 in that price range.

The m100 is the best bass head can to get at its price range.

Fantastic - I'll be getting the M-100:s then. Thanks.
