Hmmm that's strange. Perhaps its a case of the amount of praise it's getting reaching a tipping point. Out of curiousity, @MuZo2 and @ocstew, what's your audio chain like right now?

I second what Peter mentioned about the B3 - 'like coming home'. IEMs/headphones at a much higher price point do match/outperform the Havi B3 in certain regards, but I've always been looking out for one which can best it in terms of imaging and soundstage (I finally found an IEM which I can safely say is comfortably on par in terms of instrument timbre - the Shure SE846!), but I am still looking... still looking... and looking...

More soundstage? Why not try speakers

I want to share a sentence from @gyx11 which he posted 2-3 months ago:

.... The B3 is a beast to be tamed. You need effort to make it sing. Long burn in, finding the right tips, a matching source and a powerful amp. If you don't have patience, or just want to find an instant wow factor, you'll end up sorely disappointed...

I want to put this sentence as a reminder here, because I never want hype to occupy the space of the reality...

I really enjoy @gyx11 's comparisons and I will be adding links to them on the front page today. We have been communicating on the background and he did an admirable work for the thread IMO.

Please check the first page time to time as I am constantly update/upgrading it

Try to loan your X3 and pair it with the B3's, I find the two to be a great match.

This!

Auditioned the x3 using my havi.. Played several songs and was in sonic heaven lol

Anyone tried the havis with an e11k or e12?

I totally agree, the havi does everything better and is a class better but the ue600 is in my top5 faves i ever listened to cause of its ss that lets me enjoy every genre and even not so good recordings.
But back to the havis they are the best sounding iems i had so far (waiting for ttpod t1e and Cosmic ears ba2) and if any iem will ever beat my havi b3 im gonna let you know :P

Yeah, I've got the E12 as well. I've never really a/b X3 and E12 critically but my feeling is that the X3/E12 combo sounds cleaner and I do prefer the combo. I've always had the impression that the line out on the X3 is cleaner than the headphone out. That being said I prefer the X3 and Havi without the NX1 in the chain.

X3/E12 > X3 > X3/NX1 with the Havi B3, YMMV.

Hopefully my Cayin C5 arrives before the weekend (it's at customs clearance) so we can see were it fits in.

I agree with you it's in my top 5 as well but as you said back to topic:

The B3 sits at the top of my list wink.gif

Switched over to Sony hyrbid tips tonight from heir tips previously . Pretty impressive soundstage coming out of SAP-5 running from iPod video line out.

Wokei: you'll really dig the soundstage with your SAP-5, it's borderline 'huge' In width compared to most IEM I've heard.

@Pituky you melcome!

T1E is very bulky and have that shape that it doesnt fit so well in my ear,but when you find your right tips surprisingly its very comfortable and i like the cable very much also for over the ear fit.The T1E ist not for sleeping, thats all.

Hooo thanks I see, and how about the Havi's for sleeping, (my main use basically on the bed and on the go, where the full headphone are not comfortable) ?

Yippeeee...even with NX1...Havi is doing wicked twist with the soundstage and not to mention the kinda 3D imaging...and that is just with me pink zip clip...can't wait for SMSL SAP-5s to swing by...so glad me no bass head anymore....truly this Havi is one iem that is when put on..it grab you by the balls...me ACDC mantra...so hard to resist...makes one really concentrate on the music and get suck in...for lack of better choice of words..lol
