Havi B3 Pro-1 Impressions Thread

Thats why i mentuion the ckr9s as they have a similar soundstage to what you guys describe!

It just lacks soundstage width to compete against the havis. The depth and height is endless however! *depending on ecordings and source of course.*

I wouldn't be horrified if I made the ckr9's next on my hit list! :)

I'd be delighted, lol.

The ckr9s are the end game for me in the iem world.

The mikros are my end game in the on-ear headphone world.

The ws99s are the ones I would keep for the over-ear world. :) The bass of the ckr9s are actually similar to the bass of both the ws99s and mikros. I wish I was kidding but it is true, and it is similar in texture and weight, though not as thick!

Just powerful bass. :) Without the quantity of an old beats model!

No, I don't. Sorry.

but I know what you guys are talking about since the ckr9s have a similar SS.

I will definitely buy a ostry and havi pro in order to compare it better to the ckr9s as I am curious to have a good sounding (yet cheap) earphone that can outpace my ckr9s in SS and imaging. The only thing I know that the ckr9s will be different than the havis would be the highs and the bass. Edit: And the mids, as the mids on the ckr9s are definitely forward enough to bother or satisfy some headfiers.

The bass is strong and a bit above flat, or can sometimes be considered somewhat bassy to some people. The highs may sound dark to people and lacking in detail. Something I believe the havis will improve on.

So I'm sorry to bring that up and derailing the thread.

I just wanted some comparos in the future in order to verify my suspicions. But I will be the one to do it once I reclaim my funds. I do advocate these earphones though, and the xe800s as the chinese are doing something interesting. Something that wasn't attainable years ago!

That something is the sound quality that people yearned for in a cheaper package.

Ok. You guys are just so positive about this B3 Pro 1 that I just placed an pre order for it with LMUE along with the T1-E. A little impulsive of me but very pleased nevertheless.

join the club! you'll have to tip roll quite a bit i had them for almost a week now and been tip rolling almost every night a good 15-20 minutes or so to find a good fit (the fit is really finicky) and the perfect sound for me ( some boost the bass, made it very warm sounding, some may like it ) with the senn biflange made it very very lean almost anemic in the bass for me.

always the case isn't (which sounds better to my ears?!) the question everyone asks! you can definitely play around with different tips to find the sound you like (no eq required) its quite a substantial change (first time i had this happen to such a degree)

i think tonight i finally settled on an eartip! won't spoil yet, it might change tomorrow =p. so i'll give my impressions once i settle on a tip

Will definitely do so Tom22 when my pair arrive.

I for one have never been able to use a double flange due to my narrow canal. Single flange and foam works for me in most cases. BTW, anyone here have any experience with foam tips on the B3.

Please do kindly leave some feedback here for reference. Thanks.

Between you two and Dsnuts/DannyBai/ericp10, resistance is definitely withering!

Personally when I was tip rolling and used foamies I wasn't a fan, best thing about the foam was comfort and seal helped to get the bass but affected the treble in a negative way and just sounded less natural in comparison to silicone tips. But yeah don't knock the senn double flange till you try em! Only double flanges I used in the past was the hifiman double flanges on my re-400 but the havi are just a different and special iem that the senn double flange just work great for me. Tip rolling varies quite a bit with havi and everybody it seems is starting to have their own preference with which tips they like lol

@vlenbo

Do you have a Havi B3 Pro1?

Mine has been shipped today from Penon. Would gladly compare them to my ckr9s which is by far my best iem currently. I have a feeling the Havis will be a strong contender in the soundstage department.

Don't forget the 850s. You owe it to yourself to hear that tasty tasty timbre.

Looking forward to it. I thinking we could meet up and we can test the FX850s against the CKR9S, should be fun.

This is a rather random post, but I'm here just to complain of a huge issue I have with the Havi B3.

Many times when I plug the B3 out of my DAP/Amp after a listening session, I forget one vital step - lower down the volume. A couple of hours later when I'm in the mood for my other IEMs or headphones, I happily plug in and hit the play button, only to have my eardrums blown off. I can't count the number of times I have jumped out of my seat while on the daily commute because of this.

Using my other IEMs/ gear as a yardstick, the Impedance of the B3 must be at the very least 100 Ohms.

I auditioned the 850s at jaben subang a few weeks ago. Am sure it doesnt have alot of burned in yet, but it has its own signature that I also like. But overall they remind me of the ckrs but just that the bass is abit slower has longer decay compared to the faster ckr bass. Both has very good amount of details and clarity. But the main difference I instantly heard is the expansive soundstage of the 850s. Its definitely wider than the ckrs but in terms of depth and height they are about the same, though the 850s are very intimate, I found the ckrs to be slightly more intimate perhaps due to less wide soundstage  but its not bad actually has decent soundstage too. Some songs I listened to especially pop songs, I liked how the 850s performed. But all these from 850s thats not burnd in yet. We could meet so I can hear your 850s which I'm assuming is fully burned in lol My ckrs too is burned in, its alot tighter in bass, has better clarity IMO.
If the 850s goes down to like 250-300$ range somewhere I might buy it too. Its a great phone.

Now back to the Havis, I am worried that since it has very very wide soundstage does it push the vocals back to some extent?

Don't worry, vocal reprodution on the B3's is the best I've ever heard

+1   best vocals, I can say even slightly forward with great "organic" timbre.
