Hi everybody!

I'm new here and I have a question about the portable headphone amplifier.

I already have the Fiio E6.

Pretty happy with the sound. Alot better than no amplifier.

Now the battery doesnt last for a long time!

I'm looking to buy another amp.

Too much choice for me. Kind take a decision.

My MP3 Player :

Sony NWZ-B105F (still working after 7 years)

My headphones :

JBL J55

AKG K403

http://www.head-fi.org/products/akg-k403

Akg K 403: The AKG K 403 is a set of basic headphones.

I dont know what would be the next portable amplifier.

I'm in QUEBEC/CANADA so my prices are not like USA prices

Fiio E6 = 30$ CAD              review

Fiio E11 = 65$ CAD            review

Fiio E12 = 145$ CAD          review

C&C BH2 = 109$ CAD        review

SMSL SAP-4S = 58$ CAD  review  review2

Pictures (because people loves pictures)

Fiio E6    30$

You Get What You Paid ???  The Better / The Most Expensive ???

Fiio E12 > C&C BH2 > Fiio E11 > SMSL SAP-4S > Fiio E6

Help me with my decision! The Fiio E12 is kind of expensive but I keep it in my list.

What I Need ???

thanks guys! I hope you enjoy my first question/post!

Have you seen the sub $200 portable amp shootout? http://www.head-fi.org/t/620775/the-sub-200-portable-amps-shootout-13-11-amps-compared
Rankings are at the end after the reviews.

The C&C BH works quite well. Excellent battery life, too.

thank you for posting here and also for the link!

Right now I was planning to buy the Fiio E11 for 76$ (taxes and shipping included from authorized canadian seller)  65$ from ebay... but it's ebay and from hong kong (take a month)

C&C BH is 109$ on ebay / hong kong...  I cant find any canadian seller.

The battery life is pretty interesting!

Most of us first bought the C&C BH on Ebay from China. If you ask in the C&C BH thread, I'm sure people can recommend Ebay sellers.

I just take my order on aliexpress.com

It was 100$ US

Got a 15% discount because of the "shopping festival"

Got 5$ off on my first purchase with MasterCard

So I got it for 80$ USD (around 90$ CAD)

Cant find it cheaper!

I also buy another cheap mp3 player for 28$ CAD

Creative Zen V 1GB

I read that Creative player have good SQ. Not expecting something exceptionnal but for the price, I will give it a try!

The AKG K403 only cost me 8$ brand new and it was a great buy!

Out of the 2 portable Fiio headphone amps I have bought, I have been most impressed with the E11. The main think I dislike about it is not being able to charge it during use. I have had the E5 for almost 3 years and that is very well built. It works very well when it is on flat but now distorts a little when the bass boost is on. I find that the E11 lasts about 6 to 10 hours but that is only because the line out on the player I use is not very loud. I did have to replace the battery at one point because it would only last about 2 hours but the replacement sorted it out and it started lasting longer again. It really does improve my iAudio X5L media player sound while on the move.

I always have thought that the E11 feels a little cheaply built but it is very lightweight which makes it good for being portable. I believe that the E12 weighs quite a bit more.
