Sennheiser HD280 Replacement Driver?

I thought my cable was shorted somewhere, so I ordered a new one and started to wire it up...but during the reassembly, I was still finding a short. I managed to track it down to the driver itself: not sure how this is possible, but when the driver is completely removed from the headphone (no wires attached to it), the electrical pads where the + and ground wires are shorted together. I don't see any physical connection between them, so it must be internal to the PCB or something. Anyway, that's beyond my repairing abilities...does anyone know where I can get a new driver assembly? I can't seem to find one online.

Hi, Call the sales department at 1 (877) 736-6434 ext. 1 for info on getting a new driver. They are easy to replace.

x2... senn-USA will get you up and running in no time.  I got my parts in about a week, UPS ground.  You have to call them though, they have a lot more spare parts in stock than their on line www tool shows available.

Thank you! They were able to get me a replacement driver for about $30 shipped. Unfortunately it's special order, so it'll be 3-4 weeks until I get it.
