For Sale or Trade:
Denon D2k with D7k Cups, 4-Pin XLR Silver Cable, and Two Adapters, and Case

Will Ship To: Anywhere

Up for sale are a beautiful pair of Denon D2000 with D7k cups and a solid silver 4-pin XLR cable (around 6 feet).  The headphones were originally purchased from these forums last october:

As the original ad stated and you can likely see in the pictures (exaggerated for detail) there is a very slight but barely imperceptible mark along the center of the right cup.  The cable also happens to be a bit stiff, as it is solid silver, so please keep that in mind.  However, it is not unmanageable, I just wouldn't go jogging with them or anything ;).  Seriously though, these are in great shape, and sound absolutely phenomenal, very reminiscent of the D5K in its stock state.

Also included are a case, an approximately 10 foot Canare 4-pin XLR to TRS adapter, and a 15 foot 4 pin XLR to 2 x 3 pin XLR.  I will cover shipping within the continental US, anywhere else and I will look up a price quote for you.  Please send payment as paypal gift or add 3.5% to cover fees.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me!

I'm possibly looking to trade these for an HE-6 + cash, if you're looking to get rid of one.  If you do, let me know.

Thanks for the kind words Ray, if it wasn't for the Lawton Modded D5k and my recently acquired TH-600, I would hold onto these.  They deserve a new home!

Hmm $425 is a heck of a price for those... including those really awesome cables, I just purchased cables like those that ran me around $125 a pop!

So take that D2k, with D7k Wood Cups and a recable... right there is about $250 worth of work onto a stock D2k [going by Mark Lawtons prices... include the two cables which brian at BTG might charge you a cool $125 for each [or not those suckers are LONG maybe $150] so that's a $250 headphone with... $250 in work, $at least another $200 in cables for... $700? No no no, only $425 q.q, you can pay another $100 bucks and get mark Lawton to do a Driver Dampen and throw some Lawton Pads on there... and what do you have an LA D2k for uhh... $525? Sell the cables for like $100 each and you've now got your self a LA D2k for uhh $325?

Know what I paid for my LA D2k... $750ish... SEVEN HUNDRED FREAKING dollars [worth every penny of that too mind you]

My Point being is... STEAL ALERT! Some one please rob this man of his headphones and cables lol

actually to the seller I know a fellow looking for a headphone around $400-600. I recommended him a used LA D2k and why lookie here! There goes half of one for $425... I hope I can assist you in selling that sucker <3 as I'd love to get another member here into the LA D2k club :D

Thanks guys!  Yeah, I had all the mods done on my D5k by Mark Lawton and the cabling from BTG, and it the work came to around that price.  Its funny, cause several years ago I remember paying somewhere in the area of 350 for them, but ended up spending almost 450 having them modded (and a hinge repaired :P).  At the time, he told me he was no longer doing cups for the D5k, which is a real shame...  Anyways, I'm looking to see if anyone wants to unload an he-6 for these plus a nice amount of cash... want to see how they pair with the master 7 and master 9 combo :)
