Should I buy Denon D2000 (+ compared with Fidelio X1)?

Hi I have the Audeze LCD-2.2 - you must be asking why would i want a D2k -

Well when my wife is asleep and the inverter is running at night, I wondered if a closed headphone would be perfect, but I don't want to pay 1.6k for an XC!

I know the D2k will not be anywhere near as awesome as the LCD 2.2 but i can tell you I really really don't mind the sound of the X1 - exaggerated bass yeah, present midrange (yes that's how i'd describe it - you can tell it's there, not recessed, but not more to be said really), lifted low treble (guitars and hi-hat cymbal).

How does D2k compare to that?

Also is D2k leaky like an open? If it leaks bad there's no point getting it then ...

Thanks.

Both are way different cans... And for me Denon is always my favorite in terms of sound quality, but fidelio's are excellent ant X1 is amazing... in this case... I think you might consider X1

just read more - it sounds like the beyerdynamic dt-990 pro 250 ohm which i find very thin and while the bass was ok, the treble was just too bright?

The D2000 will leak a lot and will wake the wife up. Try the M-Audio Q40 or Beyer DT770 or Ultrasone Pro900 for isolation.

Oh, and the 990 is open as well.
