Foobar (Sometimes) won't start songs with USB output

Thread Starter

Sometimes when I start a song in Foobar when using a USB device (my Wyred 4 Sound uDac) the song won't start. Sometimes it won't start at all (nothing happens) sometimes it seems to start and get stuck (I have it set up so I can see the DB output for the left and right channels and they both move and than kind of get stuck).

Foobar works fine with the uDac when I use the SPDIF out. My audio also seems to work playing the same FLAC and mp3 files with VLC using the USB out for the uDAC. So it seems to just the combination of Foobar and the uDac's USB input.

I use Wasapi for the output setting (I've tried both event and push) as well as DS (direct sound) and get the same problem.

Does anyone have suggestions for how to fix this?

Thanks,
Chris

Is there anything different about the files your trying to play? sample rate or bit depth?

Is there a firmware update or driver update for your DAC?
