NAS for Marantz MCR510 & PS3

Thread Starter

I am looking for recommendations for a NAS to use with my Marantz MCR510 and PS3. What I want to achieve is to access all my media files wirelessly with my iPad, Android phone, laptop (windows 7) and Marantz remote control and play through my MCR510 (audio) and PS3 (video).

Also, do I need to create a media server to connect all of this equipment together? I understand that the NAS gets connected to my router with an Ethernet cable but do I also need to install a media server such as Serviio to connect everything?

Any suggestions / recommendations / advice appreciated...

Sorry. Not much help with these questions. But you might try researching here. smily_headphones1.gif

Most devices these days can stream data directly from a NAS network hard drive, the kind that you hook up to your router with a Ethernet cable. Although some older drives may require some port forwarding, otherwise they ask for passwords when you try to access them.
