Does anyone have any experience with this card?

(I don't really need RAID, just the extra IDE channels)
Any idea how likely it is that I would have the same problem with this PCI card vs. my onboard RAID?

Just use your onboard RAID for extra IDE channels if you aren't using it already.

I am using it. That is the problem.
It does not get along with my Emu.
It causes clicks and pops, etc.
That is the reason I am looking for something else.

Also, beyond latency, if you're running that many drives, I can see you pretty much saturating the entire PCI bus in short order, which could cause issues, too.
