Headphones ( budget $70 )( Pc gaming )

looks like amazon has Creative Aurvana Live at $72.. which fits my budget

Would this be the best headphone for PC GAMING for the price?

I am new to headphones and coming from a g35 headset, will I see an improvement? Also, since I am new, will I need a certain sound card or amp to use this at a decent level? Or can I just plug it in to my Mother Board ( m5a97 r.2)

Sorry for the noob questions

Also look into the NVX XPT100. Only $80 on Amazon. Same drivers and cups as the popular Brainwavz HM5 and Fisher FA-003, only about 40% cheaper.

I know you said your budget is $70 but if you could manage to get up another 30-50 bucks, you should really try to get either a Sennheiser PC350 or Sennheiser PC360.  I have seen them go for anywhere from $75-$125 on ebay and I can tell you from experience, they are EXCELLENT.  I would even advise you to hold out for a PC 360.  Go read the reviews on each.  Highly rated and in my opinion, the best PC gaming headset on the market.

The extra 30 bucks is worth it.  Trust me. I have spent a small fortune on PC gaming headsets and my PC360's blow everything else out of the water.

oh, and as far as sound cards go, get the ASUS Xonar DG card.  $25.00 on Amazon. It will also be the best $25.00 you have ever spent.
