I think i'm fighting a losing battle - Page 2

I just looked at your other thread. Unfortunately, open headphone + big bass doesnt exist until the x1, which is over your budget.

Big bass headphones aren't usually recommended for classical rock, but that's really up to you to decide how you want to experience it.

Thanks again for the quick reply. Yeah, sorry about having 2 threads going. My anger kinda got the best of me earlier and I just wanted to vent.

This x1 you speak of, how far over my budget is it?

They're going for $190-$210 on ebay if you get lucky bidding.  I have no experience with them but they sure have been recommended a lot around the forums.

Anyway, being I listen to a lot of Classic Rock, a lot of that music lacks a good bottom end. Are some type of "Super Bass" headphones not the way to go?

Glad you're feeling a little better about things. Why do you think you would want a bass heavy model?

Not really sure. Perhaps I think it will fill in the bottom end that Classic Rock doesn't have ? not sure. I think my brain is fried for thinking about all of this stuff.  :/

You're right that bass isn't emphasized but unless you're a basshead or feel that something's missing, it's probably best to find either something that presents the music in a more neutral way (HD558) or something that brings out the unique qualities of rock (SR80i).

Good advice!
