So I figured this would be the best place to post this. I have an iPod nano that I use a dock connector out cable for audio to my stereo. But technically, shouldn't it sound the same? The iPod's DAC is still converting it, but the headphone amplifier built in leaves it untouched. Is that correct? So does the headphone amplifier corrupt it that much that it makes a noticeable difference?
