I had the Brainwavz M4 as my first IEM and I love it. After about 1.5 years, the left side goes silent though I treated it with care and always put in the hard case provided :(
I have my friend open it to see what's wrong and it turned out the internal wire that connects the driver are disconnected. It's probably an engineering fault of Brainwavz. I am just curious is it just for me or most IEMs from Chinese can only last for less than 2 years?
That's fine, $50 for 1.5 year is not a bad deal. Now I want to upgrade to another IEM, probably around $150 or even more, which is not a small amount for students like me. I am considering Chinese brands like VSonic/HIFIMan vs more popular ones like Senheiser/Shure/UE. If my IEM is broken after the warranty period, do big companies repair it?
I am currently residing in Singapore.
