Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware - Page 58

Is there a dual boot version of Rockbox for DX50 with the new Mango 1.5.0 firmware yet?

If so, how does one go about upgrading from the previous Rockbox version?

(Please remember that we're not all expert Android users...)

As of now to my knowledge there isn't a rockbox for FW 1.5.0 yet.

Hey cholero, any update to the theme you've been working on and posted about a few weeks ago?

Excellent.  Is there an easy way to upgrade from the previous version, or must we go through the entire install procedure again?

A step-by-step guide for us novices would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having a bit of trouble. In an attempt to install 1.5.0 and the new rockbox I flashed stock recovery and now I can't seem to flash any firmware image from recovery. I don't have to option to do it from the stock UI because it isnt loading because I have the rockbox only installed on the DX50 without the ability to dual boot. I also installed RKBatchTool and although the computer seems to be able to see the device the rkbatchtool cannot. The computer sees the DX50, but rkbatchtool cannot... getting quite frustrated.

Edit: I figured it out. I needed to go into the config.INI and change a setting to TRUE.

Another question I have... With this new update the rockbox works just fine, however the stock UI side is messed up. Lots of graphic artifacts and impossible to navigate. Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Are there any changes other than it's based on FW 1.5.0?

Mango UI on 1.5.0 is a mess. Rockbox is working fine however.

Is a mess? Do you imply a rockbox problem or the official firmware is a mess on its own?

The official is fine until rockbox is installed then the UI gets all messed up.

Same here. Rockbox seems fine, but mango is totally unusable for me.

In the circumstances, I can see no reason to upgrade. (I don't need the USB DAC function on the DX50.). Is Rockbox otherwise changed/improved by the new firmware? I would not think so...
