I agree.  I get at the very least 12 hrs on 7th gen classic + Rockbox using database and shuffle.

Well i guess the problem is related to my batteries then, thanks for clarification..

One more thing actually dx50 rockboxed, the battery is discharged evenly on the 100%, or most of the battery discharge at 90% then the rest from 90 to 0 is like 10 to 20 min(because thats the case with me)

I haven't loaded Rockbox on to DX50 yet, ill wait awhile till any kinks get worked out.  The battery meter on rockbox with the classic was always kind of quirky depending on the build being used. I never payed much attention to the displayed battery meter and based battery discharge by time.

I'm actually all set as far as sound goes. Just working on changing themes. Managed to copy over a new theme but some parts didn't look right.

Same here. All good on how it sounds. Minor touch screen sensitivity tweaks while playing will help. Oh and don't forget that the backlight always turns on everytime you press the rewind, play and forward button. Its really driving me nuts

I don't bother, those minor quirks does not get in the way of enjoying the music. Just amazing how a FW change can give (for me) SQ improvement. I just compare rockboxed iPod classic and rockboxed DX50. It just showed how good the DX50's hardware compared to the iPod. Every detail sounds natural and wider on DX50.

I've looked through the thread and didn't find any major issues for me to fix in rockbox port.

If you have any - please post them at https://bitbucket.org/isergachev/rockbox/issues?status=new&status=open, it's easier for me to track there.

About keymap and screen behavior: I'll wait for a consistent proposal (if any) before changing anything. https://bitbucket.org/isergachev/rockbox/issue/4/keymap-screen-behavior

Any chance adding other font for supporting more languages like chinese/japanese/korean words?

I'm not interested in adding themes, fonts, icons etc etc because everyone needs his own contents; these user files are at /system/rockbox/app_rockbox/rockbox;

see http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/RockboxExtras. This is not port-related, but general rockbox use question.

No major problems at all. Just the touch sensitivity while playing, backlight turns on everytime you press a button and the power button I think is too sensitive like when you go back to previous setting. It goes directly to RBs mainscreen. Everything else is excellent.

Can someone please help.

I am trying to install QtADB and adb driver on windows PC.

Found QtADB on http://qtadb.wordpress.com/, and install,

Found adb driver on adbdriver.com, and install.

Run QtADB.exe, failed (no adb binary files)

Found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979 (adb-setup-1.2.exe) and install.

Run QtADB.exe and QtADB show message (CONNECT YOUR POHONE).

DX is connected and windows see it as 'Android Composite ADB Interface', but QtADB dont see the dx50.

Please can somenone explain steep by steep how to install all that stuff to access to rockbox on dx50.

It will be very helpfull to get link to all the stuff needed. Thanks.

I could swear I came across a setting that lets you disable that.  I'll recheck and get back to you...

I absolutely love the simplicity of the stock DX50 firmware.
I'll give Rockbox a chance though :P
