Recommendations for over ear headphones under $300

Hi all

I am on the market for a set of over ear headphones, hopefully under $300, but i could go up to $350 if I must have them. I am looking for something somewhat neutral or with a slight emphasis on bass. They must be over ear, but open or closed back does not matter, as I will rarely use these portably. I will also not be using an amp. The ones currently at the top of my list are:

V-Moda M100
AKG K550
Phillips Fidelio L2
Logitech UE 9000
Sony MDR-1R
Nad Viso HP50

Any other recommendations or advice on my top 6 isgreatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The B&W P5 or P7 are worth considering.

I have looked into those, but all three supposedly need an amp to sound anywhere near their full potential

Can't stress the M100 enough.

They sure do! When I posted initially I didn't comprehend that you were not going to use an amp, I edited my post real sneaky like, but not fast enough apparently

lol I think I posted that about 30 seconds after your original post. As for the p7/p5, the p7s are a bit out of my budget, and the p5 are on ear

I'm striking out left and right here  Since your looking at the L2 what about the Phillips X1? They get a lot of love around here.

Sorry, but I read a direct comparison of the two and it said the l2 did everything the x1 does but better.
