The Musical Fidelity MF100 , my newest love. - Page 4

can you buy replacement earpads for these?

also does anyone keep them in a case rather than the cloth bag? If so which case did you go for.

Got my MF100's yesterday and they are being run in from my iBasso DX50

They sound great already but cymbal crashes are a little too bright as yet, just waiting for them to calm down a little

You may be waiting a while. They remain the brightest phones I've had. This from someone who loves Beyers and likes Grados which some consider bright.

I had a pair of Grado 60s some years ago but sold them pretty soon afterwards. Luckily I bought them in the US and sold them in the UK so lost no money. As far as I can remember the sound, these MF's are much more to my liking

They have improved them over the years. The new 'e' series is a considerable refinement with a smooth treble IMO.

Maybe I should take another listen to them further down the line

thanks

As far as a hard case for these I find the MF100 fits in the Grado case pretty perfectly. The chrome 'arms' that hold the cups catch a little on the edge of case when putting them in but fine once there.

It did take a while (!) but finally got to love these (396629 or godbluff was me in a previous existence)

Anyone who really believes there is no such thing as 'break in' should be made to try these from new and listen to them them for hour upon hour, week after week.

The sharpness now gone just the precision and clarity remain. They are now a little closer to their MF100 EB50 stablemates and finally sound like they are described in the initial (brilliant) review on this thread

Bought a back up pair while still available cheaply and recommend any other Brit one does the same.
