They're uncomfortable and lack soundstage. They are bright and in your face and very detailled for their price range. Grados aren't headphones you really describe, they have a special sound signature you either love or hate. If you're curious about them I suggest giving them a try.

makes me wanna try them out more and more! What about the Q701s?

I haven't heard those, the only AKGs I know well are the 501s.
