Arcam irDac "clicking" and dropping briefly connection

Hi,

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere and I haven't found it.

I have an Arcam irDac, Arcam FMJ A19, Airport Express and Macbook Air. I am having 2 similar problem with the irDac dropping the connection briefly. The dac  looses the connection as it "clicks" (like it normally would when changing sources) then reestablishes the connection and keeps playing.

I get it frequently (every few mins) when streaming music (mostly Spotify) from my Macbook Air to the airport express (toslink connected to optical input on the irDac) . I also get it (but far less often) when streaming music or video from the Macbook Air via USB directly to the dac. I've tried different toslink and usb cables, but the problem remains.

Some advice on further troubleshooting would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Use the software driver to select always in instead of power savings.

Try that

Hey Max,

Do you mean the MacOS driver?

Where / how do I do that?

Many Thanks,

In the PDF file is the link to the driver install, yet I do not know if it is also for Mac OS
