I currently have the amazing Audio Technica ATH-M50, but I feel I can get better ones. I feel these headphones have very clear sound, and a good start in the headphone world (which is where i am now). I love bass, but not if it ruins the sound like Beats. I love ALL genres but i'm going more toward rap and electronic, because im a basshead sorta. I want a headphone that has a 3.5 mm plug, and i want to go towards closed-back, but open-back is alright to me. I already have a fiio e6 amplifier, which i think will give my headphones a boost. I have searched and searched, and im leaning toward hifi he 400, v moda m 100, sennheiser hd 598, sennheiser momentum, sony x series, etc. A widespread of headphones, but i just need one so i dont have to be looking again. So GOOD BASS, but not to kill the sound. CLEAR SOUND, to hear the actual music cleanly. OVERALL just a good design, good sound, good bass, good company, good overall. P.S. Some extras to the headphones would be nice: Noise Cancelling, Bluetooth, Etc.

Some of the headphones you have selected are open headphones. Just to be sure, you do know that open headphones provide zero isolation: people can hear your music very clearly, and you can hear your environment around you.

Is that OK? If so, I can recommend the HE-400. The bass is much better sounding than the M50s. Incredible detail and clarity all the way around with a much better soundstage surrounding your ears. smily_headphones1.gif

Whoops, I just realized that... I was wondering if the HE-400 will beat them all in bass and clear sound... do you have any headphones that i listed in the poll?

Im aware of open-back headphones, and im definitely fine getting the HE-400, but out of the headphones i listed in the poll, or any others u reccomend according to what i like in music, what closed-back headphones do u think is the best?

+1 for HE400, though you might wait till HE400i comes out as it should be easier to drive and more comfortable (that is, if Hifiman doesn't need to go through several revisions frown.gif).

Amongst closed models, M100 is probably closest to what you're looking for.
