Petition for a Head-FI dark skin site option. I for one would spend a lot more time on here if the site wasn't so bright, as I'm on here at night sometimes and it can be really straining. Similiar to what Youtube had with their "Turn off the lights" thing for

I have dark skins for all of Google, Facebook, Youtube, and Wikipedia with the Stylish Google add on but nobody's made one for this..

Though I am now using this, a dark skin would still be preferred.

I voted 'yes'.

I think though that the blueish color palette is getting more and more a trademark (for me) for head-fi. When I see similar colors, I think of head-fi. That is perhaps no accident, and if so, it might be hard to get a dark theme going.

That is a good point actually.

I voted yes too. Mostly for my tablet, I do a lot of late night surfing. Lowering the contrast is alright.. but man would love a dark theme!

Voted Yes.

This bright theme strains my eyes too much and I actually opened a thread about this a long time ago in the "Feedback & Bug Report" forum but apparently it went unnoticed. I suspect this is not in Head-fi developers hands though. This type of website is used by another forums as well (avsforum.com, for example), seems like this is just a general platform available to different hosts so maybe we should try to contact the platform developers themselves... not sure...

EDIT: Look at the bottom of the page - "Head-Fi.org is powered by Huddler Tech"

I don't think that a darker scheme would necessarily go against the issue pointed out by Coq de Combat...

Yea I understand the whole trademark Head-Fi colours issue but I personally wouldn't be bothered much. The more attention it gets, the better. Whether anything would happen or not is another issue.

Just to clarify that the thread I opened a long time ago wasn't about the issue raised by Coq de Combat, it was simply the same issue you raised in this thread, a darker theme. I edited my post to avoid misinterpretation...
