I use the Tubine Coppers with the Fiio X3 Player. I am looking for a desktop amp to amplify the performance of my next Over Ear purchase (which i am looking around 200-300 dollars) and an 100-200 amp.

Could anyone help me?

The X3 should be able to handle cans in that, price range. Pretty powerful amp.

Unless you buy a used HD6x0. You can always buy an O2, but look for something smaller if you need it to be portable. Headamp makes well-designed products.

I have been informed that the X3 is not sufficient to handle headphones over 60 Ω. Is that true? How is the Schitt amps? I have been reading about them and it seems fine for a low price.

Well, the Asgard 2 will drive everything from iem's to orthos for $250. Hard to go wrong with that amp. If you prefer a tube flavor, Schiit has the Vali out for $120 and plays to rave reviews outside of some minor microphonics.

That's completely false.  Where did you hear that?  250 ohms is the limit I think.

That sounds about right.

The X3 amp is based on the E17, and I KNOW it handles more than 60 ohms. LOL
