Well I replaced my filters last night and notice no improvement. If anything changed it was so slight that I couldn't tell so there was no true need to replace them.
So this shows that for some us, we can go a least a year and half without changing them. I guess next time I'll wait until I actually notice a decrease in sound or the filters look dirty.
