Isn't it the dac chip same in FiiO X5?

So far specs look nice. Any info on release date and full specifications? It can be a good contender in all in one solution dap world. Though no line out no digital out as far as we can see.

well there is DO in the form of optical out

Cowons are usually known for above average battery life. I wonder what they have up their sleeves for Plenue.

Wow, that specs look pretty good, definitely an improvement. 128 GB AND MicroSD slot sounds really great. About Battery life, probable it won´t be as great as the X7, or the older non-Android players that had an average of +100 hours of battery life. My D3 has around of 8 hours, and the next model (Z2) had around 12 hours.

Oh sorry I didn't see that, I must have missed it in the picture. Well that's already something, there are dac/amps like M8 in the market anyway.

I am still curious and this dap might be worth waiting for at least. If they price it correctly, it can be the one I have been waiting for.

I like the capacity, construction and design. The size seems very fine too. SNR and THD values are very nice.

Yup, and of the X5's components, the DAC portion sounded pretty good.

I'm unsubscribing - I just don't feel Cowon are 100% serious about competing with the big boys in the audiophile DAP arena. I just get the sense that they'll go 80% of the way, but not the full 100%.

All the best to those of you who stick around for the P1, and I genuinely hope I'm wrong in my skepticism.  :beerchug:

Well, as someone who respects you and your opinions a lot, I would like to ask, what is the main reason that you already removed this one from your list? I think it targets people like you, who wants all in one dap and not attach extra things to it?

Ha, I'm not even interested in reading about the DX90 anymore after hearing about this. Thanks OP! Like mentioned earlier, if the sound is neutral and resolves detail (unlike my Cowon X9) I'll get this in a heartbeat. Look at those specs! Cowon actually has usable UI, too.

It looks better and better. Glad that I didn't make an early purchase. I am definitely going to wait for it. Any info on release date?

Edit: More importantly, what about the price?

Yeah, I really hope we don't have to wait months and months for this.

This would be great to pair with a HiFi-M8 LX.  No?

The fact that they just list that it's an ARM makes me nervous. Probably a small volume ARM that isn't going to have very wide app support.
