Cowon Plenue P1 - Page 17

Jut read an article (in Chinese) about the P1: Price is 1250000 Korean Won (USD $1222) and it runs some form of Linux instead of Android.

The official page is up (in Korean only) too

My bad I thought on the website in the balanced section there was a diagram with the dacs feeding a opamp but it says Aamp

I want an audiophile player but not something that won't last me an overseas flight. I'm stuck with my J3 then? :/

you could do much worse than a J3

how good is the SQ when you have all that ambient airplane noise?

Nice to hear that it doesn't run android. Now this sounds like something to get, the price is just quite a bit too high.

That would be pretty weird, since the Plenue line is supposed to be like, premium players with connectivity.

We all know who to thanks for all the future heavily inflated pricing but ignoring the pricing the UI seems to be solid. I have not seen it in person but the pictures that i have seen shows it's tailored for music playback.

i will buy it in a hear beat if jt was for 600-800 aud.

Do the published specs have any indication on the digital out (spdif) performance of this DAP? Just like most people, always hunting for a transport for Hugo.

Thanks.

Yea both optical and spdif.

None of these companies publish complete documentation for jitter. All they say is "<50 ps typical" and that says pretty much nothing.

I am looking forward to it. I do not mind that it is not Android. In fact, I am happy about it.

From the Cowons I had, the D2 with their own OS on it was the best. The D3 with Android sucked. Portable Windows Cowon V5 also wasn't all to nice.
