I'm interested in using this player for my FLAC/WAV collection on wireless hard drive.

I had to purchase something from the play store to replace Sony's music player. power amp is so much cleaner an user friendly. So I do enjoy the google play store on my daps

Here you have some news, though I cannot find it anywhere on the actual page. It is some Korean certificate. I assume it is some equivalent to the FCC.

I am a die-hard anti-stack guy and need my devices pocketable.  I seldom carry a bag, any bag and hate having cables dangling around with ugly straps... and Hugo, as good as it could be, is simply not for mobile/on-to-go uses.  There had been reports of USB port tearing apart and RCA jacks damaged by having it connected and used on-the-go.

OO More goodies I see. I've been eyeballing the Plenue line since it started, and here's hoping they can finally iron enough of the kink they ran into the first few times enough to really tempt me. (sadly that may be hoping too much considering the processor listed. Dual core ARM cortex mean value chip-set that shouldn't even be allowed as an option unless you're targeting low income/third world locals just developing, meaning it probably wont even do proper gapless outside of the lossless suspects {while technically a good thing the issue there lies the fact that not everything is available in good formats})

But I digress. I need a player for my new IM-70s I just ordered last night. May my search be over (for now)

Doubt it. It's Cowon we are talking about. There has never been 'vaporware' from this company since its existence.

That said, korean newspapers say it will be fully revealed sometime in June, which is next month.

The problem with Cowon is that they didn't provide updates for Z2, which to me was a sleek player. As time passes when owning you a Cowon one feels like the software is primitive and looses lust over the player. I actually preferred the Cowon Z2 over the Sony Z walkman just because it support more video files and the BBE setting were truly impressive.

The BBE settings is one thing I would love to have on my ZX-1.

BBE is a very strong suit indeed ..... it transforms the sound of my ipod touch 4th gen .... and the most natural software effect but i like also poweramp and neutron player on android

Natural effect... hmm.. kinna oxymoronic isn't it? But then I remember we ARE talking about digital music anyway and when these is A2D+D2A processes involved, it didn't sound as absurd as it does..... But still, personally I never liked BBE, nor other "effects" or eq regardless of brand (e.g. also hated ClearAudio+ on Sony)...

I think that NATURAL not the right word to describe what i mean .... that is right .... what i meant that when i use BBE on my ipod touch ( before getting Fiio X3) after that i never used my ipod again  i find that it produces less distortion than normal EQ apps and more lively sound .....

but of coarse a higher end piece of hardware ( DAC + amplification ) produces a better and more natural sound than any software effect
