Hello, a lurker finally joining in the fun.

I've recently ordered the Sennheiser HD 598 and am in anticipation to try out good audio for a while now.

I'm currently wondering what earbuds to get as my old pair are getting frayed and damaged from long use and... abusive storage in my jean pockets i suppose.

My current budget is in the $20~40 range and am still searching.

I wanted to try a fresh pair of my old earbuds and compare them with the suggestions I've read on posts, but I cannot seem to find the packaging, brand name, or even the type of earbuds they are.

here's an imgur album of the bud, microphone and controls, the clip, and the jack part of the earbuds

There are no brand markings on the earbuds, behind the microphone, or any text at any point of the earbuds except the Left and Right markings under the earbuds.

They have nice sound isolation and of good quality, the package came with regular tips, double and triple flange tips. Although I cannot seem to find them anymore

I hope I can find what these earbuds are, I'm very attached to them and still would use them for nostalgia and familiarity more than quality.

Thanks for reading!

I took your advice and researched the etymotics. I believe mine might be a Research HF2. Which goes upto 120 dollars at Amazon. Now I'm really wondering how I wound up with these expensive set. Thanks for the help!
