As some of you may know, the SJ55's are a very nice set of headphones for the price. However, They have a couple of problems; head comfort, and clamping force. This mod is very quick and easy, and it fixed both problems for me. Good luck!

1. Most of us have a cheap ear pad lying around somewhere, right? Take one, and cut it to your preferred size. Then, glue in place! (I used hot glue). Also, it may be a good idea to lightly stitch the cushion in place, to ensure it doesn't fall apart. And that's all there is to it folks! Enjoy the noise! :dt880smile:

Whether it's just the added support, or the extra couple notches required to wear them with the cushion, this mod not only made the headband more comfortable, but also made the clamping force much more forgiving. I highly recommend these headphones to anyone looking for that Audio Technica sound signature in a portable, especially if you're willing to do this!
